I started white water kayaking in 2000 and fell instantly in love. In 1999, while in Santa Rosa, I began kayaking extensively along many of the rivers along the Northern coast of California. I got started, as many Missourians do, on the Meramec (and it's tributaries), the Current and the Big Rivers as a kid with the boy scouts. Haven't been able to do it as much as I used to be able to due to the birth of my daughter in 2005.
